One Night: new Australian series on Paramount+

Jodie Whittaker and Yael Stone lead the ensemble drama One Night, coming soon to Paramount+.

Paramount+ has released the full-length trailer for the upcoming six-part drama One Nighta character-driven mystery about female friendships under incredible emotional and existential strain.

One Night is the story of three women whose bond was all but destroyed by the traumatic events of one night 20-years-ago, and how the three of them relive those memories when one of them writes a book about it.

Jodie Whittaker (Dr WhoBroadchurch), Nicole da Silva (Doctor DoctorWentworth) and Yael Stone (Orange is the New Black) lead an ensemble cast that includes Kat Stewart (Five BedroomsOffspring), George Mason (The Power of the Dog), Erroll Shand (Underbelly: Land of the Long Green Cloud), Noni Hazlehurst (A Place To Call Home, Fires), Tina Bursill (Doctor Doctor), William Zappa (The DryMiss Fisher & the Crypt of Tears), Damien Strouthos (The Twelve) and Jillian Nguyen (Barons).

One Night was created and written by the award-winning Emily Ballou (The SlapTaboo) and directed by Catherine Millar (The TwelveThe Secrets She Keeps) and Lisa Matthews (Doctor DoctorThe PM’s Daughter).

The series is produced by Easy Tiger and Motive Pictures. It’s next in the slate of Paramount+ Australian Original series, with major production investment from Screen Australia.

One Night premieres on Paramount+ on 1 September 2023.
