The Broadcasting Standards Authority (BSA) report What Not to Swear examines what words are found offensive by whom on TV and radio. Researchers took the rare opportunity to spew foul language at little white-haired old ladies with impunity, and came up with a report that contained very few surprises but lots of naughty words.

In a survey that is repeated every five years, the BSA took a list of 31 words or phrases and road-tested them on unsuspecting members of the public. New words joining the list this time round included Jesus, Jesus Fucking Christ, Get Fucked, Fuck Off, Faggot, Retard, Slut, and Piss Off.
