Besides the landmark achievements, James Horner worked on a huge range of popular films. This is In The Name of the Rose. 

James Horner, composer on Titanic, Avatar, Apollo 13, Aliens and Braveheart died alone in the crash of his two seater  S312 Tucana MK1 turboprop in California’s Los Padres National Park on Monday.

The 61 year old was a passionate pilot, who wrote the music for a film called The Horsemen, about the P-51 Mustang, which he learnt to fly. His journey was documented here –
