In the first year the Oscars have allowed members to vote online, nominations will be announced in just over a week. The deadline for members has been extended by one day to Friday, January 4 over fears of hacking, system problems and a record-low turnout.

Academy members have the option to vote online or submit a traditional paper ballot, although any votes received after the deadline won’t be counted. All voting for previous Oscar ceremonies has been by traditional paper ballot only.
