The BAFTA longlist, announced overnight for the February awards, contains 63 nominations for The Lovely Bones, District 9, Avatar, Bright Star and An Education.
The Finola Dwyer-produced An Education leads the pack with 18 nominations, including 3 in the Supporting Actress category for Emma Thompson, Rosamund Pike and Olivia Williams, up against The Lovely Bones’ Rachel Weisz and Susan Sarandon.
