AIDC 2013: Ratings driving Australian content

We used to have huge output deals with the US, but I don’t see that continuing. The good news is that you’ll see tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars flowing into Australian content.

What’s to love about ratings? Ratings are the currency by which a program is
judged – and by default, the program maker, i.e. you.

Alan Erson, formerly head of documentaries and factual at the ABC, and now head of factual at Essential Media and Entertainment, chaired this session which had no less than five experts on stage.
