We wouldn’t call this a classy package, but ‘Antony I. Ginnane and Ann Lyons of IFM World Releasing are proud to announce that they have acquired international rights to selected titles from the eclectic star-driven Indican catalog and will begin TV and DVD licensing at MIPCOM.’

Indican is a US-based theatrical/video distributor that has carved a niche for itself over the last 3 years for releasing innovative, controversial and commercial titles – both genre and critically-acclaimed material – into the marketplace.

The initial package of 14 titles (first run for international TV) include TV movies like “Always Say Goodbye” (starring ‘Desperate Housewives’ Marcia Cross), “A Wake in Providence” (starring Adrienne Barbeau (‘The Fog’, “Carnivale”) and thrillers like “Fabled” (starring Desmond Askew from ‘Roswell’).

Also included are award-winning documentaries like “Carlos Castaneda – Enigma of a Sorcerer”, “Emerald Cowboy” and the Independent Spirit, Slamdance and San Francisco Film Festival award winner “Hybrid” together with “American Storytellers” featuring Forest Whitaker and John Sayles.

For DVD buyers the list includes the sexy spoofs “Bare Naked Survivor” and “Womb Raider” and the tell-all biography of adult star Stacy Valentine in “The Girl Next Door”. The fun romp “Wasabi Tuna” with Anna Nicole Smith, Alexis Arquette and Antonio Sabato Jr. is also available.

In addition to the Indican catalog IFM will launch the TV movie “The Touch”, an uplifting and redemptive tale of a woman who, having dug her way back from drugs and depression, elects to help other women heal their lives. Shauna Bartel stars.

The IFM team of Antony I. Ginnane, Anthony J. Lyons and David Makhlout will be at MIPCOM in booth 14.07.

Not that too many ScreenHub readers are at Mipcom, fascinated by Carlos Castaneda and those fascinating Wombraiders.

Right product + right audience + rights = revenue.
