Stranger Things 5: The Finale – 1 January
Series finale. Netflix has certainly been milking all the publicity it can get from the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The season’s release was divvied up into three staggered volumes – with the first four episodes coming out on 27 November, then the next three episodes dropping as a Boxing Day treat on 26 December, and the standalone final episode kicking off the new year with a big ending, streaming from 1 January 2026.
The final venture into 1980s Hawkins finds the town under lockdown. With Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) in hiding, and danger lurking at every turn, the entire party unites with a single goal: to hunt and kill Vecna.
Whether you come for the nostalgia, the horror, or just to see Steve Harrington wield a bat one last time, the closer of Stranger Things 5 will hopefully deliver a bittersweet farewell worthy of its cultural legacy. Watch the trailer.
Unlocked: A Jail Experiment Season 2 – 7 January
Documentary series. Coming up on two years since the first season debuted, Netflix is releasing a new season of this eye-opening reality series. Inside an Arkansas detention facility, a controversial sheriff implements a radical social experiment to grant incarcerated men more agency. Watch the trailer.
His & Hers – 8 January
Limited Series. Based on Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel of the same name, this brand new limited mystery-thriller series follows two estranged spouses – one a cop, the other a news reporter – as they compete to solve a murder case in which each believes the other is a prime suspect.
Starring Tessa Thompson, Jon Bernthal, Pablo Schreiber, Marin Ireland, Sunita Mani, Rebecca Rittenhouse and Crystal Fox.
People We Meet on Vacation – 9 January
Film. Pack your bags – Emily Henry’s bestselling romance novel is getting the Netflix movie treatment. Poppy’s a free spirit. Alex loves a plan. After years of summer vacations, these polar-opposite best pals can’t help but wonder if they could be a perfect romantic match.

The Boyfriend Season 2 – 13 January

Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials – 15 January
Limited Series. It’s never not a good time for a new Agatha Christie adaptation, right? Streaming from January, Netflix has enlisted Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall (Doctor Who) to pen this three-part series inspired by the Queen of Crime’s 1929 novel The Seven Dials Mystery.
When a lavish country house party ends in murder, a witty young aristocrat sets out to solve the mystery in this adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel.

Love Through a Prism – 15 January
Series. Premiering exclusively on Netflix, this new Japanese animated series is created by Yoko Kamio (Boys Over Flowers) and follows a young Japanese woman who enrols in a famous art school in early-1900s London, only to be surprised when rivalry with a gifted classmate becomes romance.

The Rip – 16 January
Film. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck team back up in this brand new crime thriller from writer-director Joe Carnahan (Narc, Smokin’ Aces). When a team of Miami cops discovers millions in cash inside a rundown stash house, trust frays as everything (and everyone) is called into question.

Bridgerton Season 4, Part 1 – 29 January
Series. Alert the ton! Bridgerton is back to once again plunge viewers into a glittering, Regency-inspired world brimming with high society scandal, gossip, romantic intrigue and incredibly sexy exploits (minus the syphilis).
Following all the edginess and edging of Bridgerton’s third season, the fourth season turns its focus to the Bridgerton family’s bohemian second son, Benedict (Luke Thompson). After expanding his horizons and experimenting with his desires in the previous season (hello, lowkey bisexual king!), Benedict is loath to settle down – until he meets a captivating ‘Lady in Silver’ at his mother’s masquerade ball.
Bridgerton‘s fourth season will be released in two parts, with Netflix dropping the first four episodes on 29 January, and the next four streaming from 26 February.
