John Gregory, Chief Executive Officer of light entertainment production company Freehand TV, has put to rest months of speculation over whether Seven’s new channel would carry Australian productions, or be loaded with imports, confirming that the network is talking to Australian producers about content for their new high definition multi-channel.

Seven rushed out a media release announcing its multi-channel plans, hours after Ten made a similar announcement, in September. The release was short on detail, prompting speculation that Ten’s announcement had forced Seven to respond before its programming plans were ready.
