Gameloft Brisbane is officially developing a brand new Bluey video game, adapting the beloved children’s TV series into an exploration-based photography and activities simulator, where players can explore a familiar, colourful world.

Bluey’s Happy Snaps, set to launch for PC and consoles in Spring 2026 [Southern Hemisphere], sets players the task of exploring the world of Bluey and taking photos of all the fun, interesting sights they see.

What to know about Bluey’s Happy Snaps

Per Gameloft, the action of Happy Snaps kicks off when ‘Bluey and Bingo find Dad’s old camera and set off on an exciting family trip’. The excitable pair will explore Bluey’s iconic home, as well as recognisable real-world locations around Brisbane.

As we’ve seen in early footage, the game features South Bank as an explorable location, as well as lookouts around Brisbane CBD, and beyond. Locations from episodes including ‘Spy Game’, ‘Ice Cream’, and ‘The Sign’ are featured, with each area ‘brimming with Australian wildlife, from colourful lorikeets to adorable koalas and many more species posing for their picture-perfect moment.’

Players will shoot on-location in these surrounds, then use their photos to create a scrapbook of memories.

Bluey’s Happy Snaps stays faithful to the show, translating Bluey’s signature warmth, humor, and emotional storytelling into open-ended activities and playful fun and games specifically designed for kids,’ Gameloft says.

‘Developed in Bluey’s hometown, [the game] draws inspiration from everyday places and the wonder of simple family moments that define the series. This connection brings a world filled with playful details designed for younger players, alongside polished gameplay that parents will adore.’

Bluey’s Happy Snaps is designed for family play

As further detailed, Happy Snaps has been designed as a single player and multiplayer experience, with a focus on forging connections between players, and allowing them to learn more through shared activities.

Co-op play allows up to two players to journey together as Bluey and Bingo, with the main player ‘leading’ the adventure behind the camera, while the other player poses for photos.

There’s also an array of ‘Play for Real Life’ moments in the game that are designed to give ‘practical guidance’ for families to ‘create moments together, even after screen time has ended’ and to ‘keep the fun going into the real world.’

As announced, this latest Bluey video game, which follows directly in the footsteps of Quest for The Gold Pen, launches for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC in Spring 2026.

Roblox Corporation has confirmed it’s appointed three Australian parents to its new Global Parent Council, with their perspectives set to inform the future direction of the game’s products, policies and partnerships.

The Global Parent Council includes 80 parents from around the world, with representatives from Australia, Europe, North America, the Asia Pacific and Latin America included. They bring expertise across a variety of fields, including education, psychology, law enforcement, digital wellbeing and gaming, and will reportedly inform future decisions made for the game.

The move to appoint the new Global Parent Council arrives after much interrogation about safety while using Roblox, including a study highlighting significant risks to children due to the spread of ‘bad actors’ online.
