Ten Network Holdings has announced that the Board has “given notice of termination to Mr James Warburton. He will no longer be performing the role of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Company, effective immediately”. Hamish McLennan will take over both roles from March 18.

McLennan is being poached from News Corp, where he is currently an executive Vice President, chairman of REA Group (which holds realestate.com.au, among other properties), and where he was a special adviser to chief executive and chairman Rupert Murdoch. He is also the former global head of advertising agency George Patterson Y&R.
