Rick Kalowski, seasoned sitcom scribe, brings to his sense of humour an intellectual rigour which made his session chairing a pleasure. Here, he had the floor to himself, as he talked about the unfunny realities of being funny.

The humble sitcom, as far as Kalowski is concerned, is the most demanding field for a writer to work in. “Not only does it have to be well constructed drama, it also has to be funny” he said.
