At last, the most hopeful Oscar run for Australia in recent memory has gone, and the world returns to normal. The cinema’s answer to the Eurovision Song Contest delivered technical glory to Fury Road and Miller’s massively talented teams, and shocked the planet with an unexpected winner for Best Film.
