Maziar Bahari, a documentary filmmaker who was a guest at AIDC 2009, has come to grief in his home country of Iran.

Now a Canadian citizen, with a base in Toronto, he has been working mostly in Iran for the last decade. He was working for Newsweek and making a film covering the election. He was pulled from his bed at 7am on June 21st by security agents who refused to identify themselves. Acording to his mother, who shares the apartment in Tehran, the agents told her that he would be their guest.
