Cannes: Australian & NZ shorts miss out on official competition

The Cannes Film Festival has announced the short films which will be in official competition. For the first time in years, there are no Australian or New Zealand short films selected.

In 2012, Australia and New Zealand both had films in competition, with Michael Spiccia’s Yardbird representing Australia, and Zia Mandivwalla’s Night Shift from New Zealand.
