Award-winning filmmaker and historian Graham Shirley has been appointed to the newly established position of Senior Curator, Documents and Artefacts, at the National Film and Sound Archive.

NFSA Director Paolo Cherchi Usai welcomed the appointment, noting that the position was an important building block in the new curatorial framework of the Archive. “Graham’s impressive credentials and long-standing commitment to the preservation of Australia’s audiovisual heritage will be invaluable in strengthening and developing this framework,” he said.
