Teresa Palmer and Miranda Tapsell join line-up for Screenworks Regional to Global forum

Screenworks has announced the full line-up of speakers for its Regional to Global 2026 screen forum, taking place at Lennox Head in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales from 9 to 10 September.

The annual conference is designed for Australian screen industry leaders and creatives to gather together and learn more about the state of filmmaking within Australia.

Across the two days of the event, an array of deep dive panels, case studies and structured discussions will take place, all exploring the local and international screen industry, regional screen development, and more.

Various networking events will also provide opportunity for like-minded creatives to connect and share more about their latest projects.

The guest speaker line-up for Screenworks Regional to Global 2026

Screenworks Regional to Global 2026 will be headlined by talented guest speakers with diverse experience across the screen sector. Actor Teresa Palmer is on board to appear in conversation, discussing her career and her experiences working in the US, Australia and around the world.

Palmer has a glittering career across feature films like Warm Bodies, Hacksaw Ridge and The Fall Guy, as well as popular TV series like A Discovery of Witches and local Australian shows The Family Next Door and Mix Tape.

Another notable Australian actor in the line-up is Miranda Tapsell, who recently starred in the popular Top End Bub, a spin-off of beloved Australian film Top End Wedding. Alongside being an actor, Tapsell is also a writer and producer, contributing to a variety of big screen projects.

Adrian Chiarella, writer and director of big screen horror film Leviticus, will discuss the release of his breakout success and what lessons there are to be learned from its release.

There are also a number of executives, commissioning editors and other behind-the-scenes Australian screen talent set to appear at Regional to Global 2026. Todd Abbott, Commissioning Editor for Comedy at the ABC, is on board to deliver a talk about the world of commissioners and how shows are chosen for development. Joanna Beveridge, Investment Manager at Screen Australia, will also discuss her work and the nature of investment in the modern era.

In addition, the show will also be attended by development executives and producers from Screen Queensland, Bus Stop Films, NITV, AFTRS, The Australian Directors’ Guild, Screen NSW, Sydney Film Festival, The South Australian Film Corporation, Foxtel Group, SBS, The Australian Writers’ Guild, Screen Canberra, and more.
