AIDC 2018: digging out the 2016 stats to picture the delegates

Who are these people? Are they happy? How old are they? Gender divide? Intention? AIDC stats tell all.

In 2016, the first year when the Australian International Documentary Conference was in Melbourne, a total of 596 delegates attended. The figures have grown since then, but the proportions are probably constant, so the conference’s research for that year is pretty revealing. Delegates provided useful data on areas like their age, sex and background in their entry forms, while the conference also processed surveys filled in by 238 attendees, which is 40% of the total.
