Shoresy Season 5 – 26 December

Series. Following a fast-tracked double episode premiere on December 26, you can expect weekly drops of the latest season of this Canadian cult comedy on SBS On Demand.
It might have started as a Letterkenny spin-off, but Shoresy has evolved into a phenomenon all of its own, becoming one of Canada’s most beloved comedic series and one of their finest exports. The fifth season pick ups with Shoresy and the Bulldogs fighting to protect the North American game. Creator and star Jared Keeso returns, along with Taysa Teles who will be back as Nat, the owner of the Bulldogs.

Queen of F*cking Everything – 1 January

Series. An Australian premiere, this six-episode Finnish series follows Linda, a luxury real estate agent, who faces a harsh reality when her husband vanishes, leaving her millions in debt. With her finances seized, Linda struggles to keep her life together no matter what. Turning to her long-neglected childhood friend Marke for a loan, Linda finds herself pulled into a world of shady business dealings. Watch the trailer.
Daddy Issues Season 2 – 1 January

Series. Boasting a rave five-star review from The Guardian, this quirky British comedy returns with a second season starring Aimee Lou Wood (The White Lotus, Sex Education, Living) and David Morrissey (Britannia, The Walking Dead).
Gemma’s still coming to terms with life as a new mum when her estranged mother Davina moves in, forcing her dad Malcolm out. With mum being no help, missing her dad, and in a state of despair, Gemma plots to oust Davina and move Malcolm back in.
Along the way, she tries to get back to her old self, sister Catherine decides she wants a baby, and incel pal Derek tricks Malcolm into helping him seek revenge on his ex-wife. However, a surprise visitor arrives, forcing Malcolm to confront his past, and Gemma to face her future.

Catch-22 – 1 January

Series. Featuring the star power of George Clooney, Kyle Chandler, Hugh Laurie and Lewis Pullman, this six-episode satirical dark comedy is based on the 1961 novel of the same name by Joseph Heller.
Captain John Yossarian (Christopher Abbott), a United States Army Air Forces bombardier in World War II, is furious that thousands of people are trying to kill him and that his own army keeps increasing the missions he must fly. He is trapped by the bureaucratic rule Catch-22, which considers a willingness to fly dangerous combat missions to be insane.
The series is executive produced by Clooney, Grant Heslov, Luke Davies, David Michôd, Richard Brown, Steve Golin and Ellen Kuras. The series was written by Davies and Michôd, and directed by Clooney, Heslov, and Kuras. Watch the trailer.
Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2025 – 1 January

In Flight – 8 January

An Australian premiere, this gripping new eight-episode British crime drama follows Jo Conran (Katherine Kelly), a single mum who is working as a flight attendant when her son (Harry Cadby) is imprisoned in Bulgaria for a murder he swears he didn’t commit. Jo is approached by the mysterious Cormac Kelleher (Stuart Martin), who knows all about her son and blackmails her into smuggling drugs.
Jo finds herself pulled into a murky underworld of corruption, forced to carry out orders with no escape. Becoming more and more ensnared in the gangsters’ plot, her mission remains the same: to keep her son alive and prove his innocence, no matter the cost.
Nurse Jackie Seasons 1-7 – 8 January

Series. Is it time you revisited this Emmy-Award-winning dark comedy? Edie Falco stars as the title character Jackie Peyton, a strong-willed and brilliant, but very flawed, emergency room nurse working in the frenzied environment of a New York City hospital. A lapsed Catholic with a weakness for painkillers, Jackie keeps the hospital balanced with her unique bedside manner and own brand of medical justice.
The Gone Season 2 – 15 January

Series. This dark and intense Irish mystery drama returns for a gripping second season. Fresh off solving the case of a missing Irish couple, Detective Theo Richter (Richard Flood) is set to leave New Zealand for Ireland when he learns that journalist Aileen Ryan (Carolyn Bracken) has vanished.
Joining forces once again with Māori detective Diana Huia (Acushla-Tara Kupe), Theo dives into a frantic search for Aileen. The pair soon find themselves ensnared in a deadly game with the Goatman, the elusive killer behind the Mountain Murders. After terrorising the town nearly two decades ago, he has returned and is now more dangerous than ever. Aileen’s disappearance appears linked to her investigation into the town’s infamous Mountain Murders.
