The headlining free monthly game for PS Plus subscribers in September is Sniper Elite: Resistance, the latest game in the long-running Sniper Elite franchise. Here’s the complete rundown:
‘Offering unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth and tactical third-person combat, Sniper Elite: Resistance turns the attention of the award-winning series towards a hidden war, far from the front lines, deep within the heart of occupied France, in a gripping new story that runs parallel with Sniper Elite 5.’
Players will embody an Axis sniper and engage ‘in a deadly game of cat and mouse’ to fight back against invading hordes. This game includes a competitive 16-player battle mode, as well as four-player co-op against waves of enemies. Its arrival on PS Plus should boost the numbers for playing online.
The next free game is Wobbly Life from RubberBandGames.
While silly-looking on the surface, this highly acclaimed game is a fan-favourite for a reason. It lets you enter an open world full of silly little guys and play around with mini-games of wacky physics. Here’s the description:

MLB The Show 26 is another free game for PS Plus in September. This game is all about embodying MLB baseball players and pitching your way to victory. Here’s the description:
