India has been the subject of lots of news stories over the last few weeks, not all of them positive. Offering a non-Bollywood selection of Indian filmmaking, the Yes India festival kicks off in Auckland later this week before heading for Wellington and Christchurch.
The festival will screen 14 features, a pair of documentaries and nine shorts with most films only getting a single outing in each centre (the festival also heads to Wellington and Christchurch).
