Screen Australia’s nine projects drop straight into the guidelines tension about the role of single docs versus series. While the dice are random for a particular round, this one wobbles towards the big end of docs.

Of these nine projects, we have a total of six series and three one-offs. One of those is a sequel. That all adds up to three hours of single docs, and nineteen of series. So that $3.4m buys 22 hours, with that total of $11m saying that the average hourly cost is $500,000.
