TVNZ has suspended Paul Henry without pay until Monday 18 October, following his comments on Monday about Sir Anand Satyanand and despite his apologies via media release on Monday afternoon and on Breakfast this morning.
The TVNZ statement acknowledged the freedom TVNZ gave Henry to be provocative, and referencing the statement made by Andi Brotherston yesterday that said Paul Henry was “prepared to say the things we quietly think but are scared to say out loud.”
