Montreal’s 38th Festival du Nouveau Cinema (FNC) kicks off next month, running 7 – 18 October, featuring – amongst other delights – a Jane Campion retrospective.
The director’s entire back catalogue plus new release Bright Star will screen from 8 – 17 October, in a programme entitled Jane Campion Retrospective: The fascination with strangeness. (The Film Archive in Wellington screens a less ambitious retrospective of her work this month.)
