The inaugural Ladakh International Film Festival will run in June next year, and everyone attending will have to kip for a whole day to acclimatise to the festival’s 13,500 ft above sea level location.
Although the idea might sound a little improbable, the festival chair is longtime filmmaker and current Indian MP Shyam Benegal, who has 26 features and 65 documentaries under his belt, not to mention the 53–hour TV series on Indian history, Bharat Ek Khoj.
