Macaulay Culkin is coming to Australia as part of a new Home Alone Q&A and screening tour for fans of the classic Christmas film.
‘A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin’ will feature a screening of Home Alone, followed by Culkin discussing his time working on the film alongside the great Catherine O’Hara, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. These behind-the-scene stories will be followed by an audience Q&A allowing anyone to ask questions about the film and its legacy.

A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin will head to Australia in November, with three shows across Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney:
- Tuesday 24 November – Fortitude Music Hall, Brisbane
- Friday 27 November – Regent Theatre, Melbourne
- Sunday 29 November – Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Tickets will be available in presale from 21 September at 10:00 am AEST, and general sale will commence at 11:00 am AEST on 23 September, via Destroy All Lines.
Those keen to meet Culkin and discuss their Qs and As in person will be able to purchase VIP tickets with a personal photo opportunity and meet-and-greet, although these will be in limited supply.
Home Alone has earned its victory lap
Home Alone has certainly earned its victory lap here. Despite releasing 36 years ago, it remains an all-time Christmas classic, thanks to Culkin’s performance and the story’s increasingly silly antics.
All of the cast is firing in this film, with Culkin’s devious pretend-innocent energy matched by the wide-eyed, loud and energetic Joe Pesci as Harry, the hapless thief. Add in an iconic performance by Catherine O’Hara which remains extremely quotable, and you’ve got a recipe for a great, timeless film.
As the event suggest, these special screenings will be driven by nostalgia, with Culkin discussing his time on the film and why it remains such a classic. Those with fond memories of the film, or even those keen to watch it for the first time, will likely find something in these return screenings.
