Four Australian films in Toronto selection

The Toronto International Film Festival has made its first announcements for 2013. Four Australian films have made the cut.

TIFF describes the Galas as ‘Movie stars. Red carpet premieres. Major audience interest.’

In the Special Presentations Section – ‘High profile premiere and the world`s leading filmmakers’ – we find three films rubbing up against each other with very divergent styles.

Matthew Saville’s directorial take on Felony explores Joel Edgerton’s script and performance as a persistent investigator after a decorated cop who wrecks his life with a lie about a car accident. The producers are Rosemary Blight, Michael Benaroya and Joel Edgerton.
