Hong Kong’s annual market event, Filmart, opened for business Monday with a cheery air, characterised by the organisers’ ability to promote increased numbers in several key demographics for the event.

Exhibitor numbers in particular were up, with a 10% increase to 640, with an increased US presence. For its second stab “at Asia” the “American pavilion” extended its scope to house over 40 US distributors.
