Natasha Pincus’ short drama ‘Emma and the Barista’ was scheduled to be screened on Saturday 30 March but a couple of days before the screening Emma was watching a feature film that experienced a technical hitch. Emma had the gumption, or audacity, to front the projectionist with the idea of showing her film while they attempted to repair the feature film.

The projectionist agreed, and her film was screened with great applause, followed by Natasha personally representing her film on stage to the delight of the audience. The film is set in Melbourne and prompted many inquisitive questions from the audience and was positive in promoting Melbourne to an American / Texan
media and audience.
