Deadline Gallipoli is in production in South Australia, exploring the origins of the Gallipoli legend. The central characters are war correspondents Charles Bean, Ellis Ashmead-Bartlett, Phillip Schuler and Keith Murdoch.
Sam Worthington is playing the role of photographer Phillip Schuler, and is an executive producer.
“This incredible true story will resonate with audiences today,” Worthington said in the press release. “You only have to look at WikiLeaks and Edward Snowden to know the themes of Deadline Gallipoli are still as relevant today as they were back in 1915. We are excited and honoured to bring the show to Foxtel in 2015 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing.”
