Cosy farming sim Delphinium, currently in development at Adelaide-based studio Cinnadev, has been signed by US publisher Serenity Forge (Homestead Arcana, Half Past Fate). The teams will partner for the release of the upcoming farming simulator, which is currently undated but expected later this year.
Early looks at Delphinium have promised a bright, kind-hearted cosy adventure guided by an ‘evolving’ narrative. With a wholesome tone and a gorgeous 2D-3D aesthetic, there’s a lot to look forward to here.

The path to launch
As shared by developer Heidi Borge, aka Sev, during Freeplay Parallels 25, Delphinium is the result of years of iteration. Sev began developing the game right out of high school, and it was initially a simple, experimental project.
The scope for the game expanded rapidly as they built new skills and pretty soon, features snowballed, each with their own cascading set of requirements. If there was a shop, naturally there needed to be a shopkeeper NPC. If there were to be more shops, there would need to be more shopkeepers.
As the needs of the game cascaded, Delphinium evolved to become a larger adventure, with significantly more ambitious gameplay.
Along the way, Sev also decided on an overarching narrative, introducing more characters and fleshing out the world of the game. In fact, these characters became the centre of gameplay, with a warm, cosy narrative following a group of people with their own complex relationships, forging a path ahead.
‘Every moment of Delphinium‘s gameplay exists to better enhance its story,’ a Cinnadev spokesperson said in a statement. ‘To truly understand the people around you, you must first understand the world they have grown up in; giving the player time to interact with and take part in that world is vital.’

Delphinium has grown via Kickstarter and its Serenity Forge partnership
The Delphinium team signing with Serenity Forge is another feather in Cinnadev’s cap. Since Delphinium was revealed, the game has been warmly received, with support allowing it to grow considerably.
In 2025, Cinnadev ran a successful Kickstarter campaign for the project, raising AU$40,270 to see it through the final stretch of development. In the process, the game found a loyal audience, which likely caught the attention of Serenity Forge.
As confirmed by Cinnadev, the publisher is now on board for final game delivery, which is planned for late 2026.
‘I am so SO excited to announce that Delphinium is published by Serenity Forge,’ the team said on social media. ‘It has been an absolute joy and an honour working with them, the game could not be in better hands.’
In this announcement, it was also confirmed that Delphinium will be available on PC (Steam) and Xbox, with additional support from the ID@Xbox team.
Those keen to check out the game when it launches can now wishlist it on Steam.

Epic Games has confirmed the price of Fortnite‘s V-Bucks in-game currency will be increased, as the ‘cost of running [the game] has gone up a lot’ and it needs ‘help to pay the bills’. While the exact reason for this increase in cost has not been outlined, we suspect many factors are playing in, like the cost of licensing popular media, as well as maintaining energy-hungry servers.
