What to expect from Playstation’s State of Play showcase
For now, we only have a few confirmed details about the upcoming show, but we do know it’ll spotlight an array of PlayStation Studios titles, alongside eye-catching third-party and indie games for PlayStation 5.
With over 60 minutes of new content, we expect lots of new information to be revealed. We can also make some assumptions about the games that may appear.
Upcoming, soon-to-be released games are likely to be spotlighted, with final trailers revealing more about gameplay. We’d expect titles like Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata and 007 First Light to make appearances here.
We can also hope for bigger, more surprising reveals along the way. Marvel’s Wolverine currently has a late 2026 release window, but it could be ready to get a narrowed release date. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is in a similar position, and could appear during the show.
Of course, there’s always the possibility of more dramatic reveals, but to keep expectations in check we won’t speculate on the status of incoming, likely far-off projects like Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 or Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3.
As with all showcases like this one, it’s best to keep an open mind and not expect too much. Being pleasantly surprised is always better than the alternative.

Since then, we’ve heard very little of this project, and it has been suggested the game’s listing could have been conceptual in nature.
But a new report from The Verge disputes this, claiming the Fallout 3 remaster is not only real, it’s been in active development for quite some time. Per these new details, the Fallout 3 remaster is reportedly a major upcoming release for Bethesda, with developers keen to ensure a high level of polish on launch.
