If you can make ‘Wilfred’ happen, you can feel a bit unstoppable.. Tony Rogers, Adam Zwar and Jason Gann had no trouble going for glory with independent feature, ‘Rats and Cats’.

Tony Rogers, Adam Zwar and Jason Gann had the idea for Rats and Cats before the Wilfred TV show. Having already screened Wilfred as a short film, Adam and Jason sat down and wrote the scripts for the film and the TV show, going through a number of drafts.

With support from the Comedy Channel, they thought Wilfred was more likely to happen first, but then the funding fell through. Fortunately, Rats and Cats was able to gain momentum once Jason Byrne was on board.
