Tony Burke, the new Minister for the Arts in the Federal Labor Government will be assisted by Michael Danby.

Tony Burke is currently the Minister for Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities, and the Member for Watson in NSW.

He will add Arts to this portfolio. The previous Minsiter and current outcast Simon Crean had a broadranging portfolio as well; he was Minister for the Arts and Minister for Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government.
