Following the success of Ang Lee’s Life of Pi Filmart’s conference programme offered sessions on the ever-popular approach of developing titles from existing properties and ways forward for Asian film. Both focused on adapting, in different ways, and both identified opportunities not currently being exploited.

An earlier session on film export had mused on the challenges of taking material from one territory to another, be those the challenges of different languages, cultures, expectations or taste.
