With 65 eps of Dance Academy enchanting its youthful audience, the cruel gods of time and money are calling a halt to the dream. What is more, the last and third series is only half as long. There is no justice.

Whether you’re measuring ratings, international sales or critical reception, the Logie-winning Emmy-nominated Australian teen drama series Dance Academy has been a huge success. Perhaps the show’s greatest achievement, however, is making it into a third season, which started on ABC3 last Monday night, after months of promotional lead-up.
