Cannes went gaga for Gatsby on opening night, and although an almost biblical deluge literally rained on Baz’s parade, it did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the thousands of die-hard fans who queued all day in miserable conditions to catch a glimpse of the galaxy of stars walking le tapis rouge.
