The inaugural Beijing International Film Festival kicks off on the weekend, offering somewhere in the region of 180 titles over the course of its one week run. The programme features around 110 foreign titles, three of which are from New Zealand.

The three Kiwi titles are After the Waterfall and Predicament, both screening in the main festival, and Life Force, screening in the documentary strand.
