Four emerging filmmaker teams are the latest recipients of grants under the New South Wales Film and Television Office’s Young Filmmakers Fund.

Three shorts dramas and one short animation have received grants.

The dramas are Midsummer Magic (Producers Iain Crossing and Andy Rodoreda, Director Gabrielle Rogers, Writer Andy Rodoreda) about an awkward schoolgirl living in Sydney’s western suburbs going through the pangs of ‘first love’; Kin (Producer Ali Malone, Director Peter Crombie, Writers Peter Crombie, Ceinwen Berry) which tells of secrets between a father and son which reveal sides of themselves that will forever alter their relationship; and At the Tattooist (Producer Danielle Kelly, Director Sophie Miller, Writers Jena Woodburn, Sophie Miller) about a gang of schoolgirls who find their sense of self and world shaken when their adventure to a tattoo parlour turns into an unexpectedly confronting encounter.
