Known for collecting our screen heritage, the National Film and Sound Archive has now gone all meta, by launching a project to source other collections. This should make the toiling film researcher on some miniscule documentary budget very happy.

Important collections of film and recorded sound held all over the country are to be listed and made available by the National Film and Sound Archive in a new National Registry of Moving Image and Recorded Sound Collections.
