The ABC’s globally successful online Reading Eggs program will be made into a web animation series called Eggsperts, in a co-production between Flying Bark Productions and Blake eLearning.

Reading Eggs has more than two million subscribers in 134 countries at last count. That sort of successful reach into the education and e-learning market for four to seven year olds led to the proposed production of a spin-off web animation series called Eggsperts to be developed by a partnership between Flying Bark Productions and Blake eLearning.

The eleven episodes of seven minutes each will be available for download on Android and Apple mobile devices and to subscribers of Reading Eggs.

The storyline will be familiar to the fans of the reading program, which is based on interactive adventures that finish with rewards. Life for the Eggsperts in Eggleston and the surrounding lands is a gigantic puzzle that learner readers can solve with their eggsperienced guides alongside them. They share the thrills and eggscitement with the Eggsperts on their mission to deliver new eggs to their homelands.

To do that they have to crack the special hatching word and welcome another eggstraordinary critter into their eggsotic world. Sam, Jazz and Tom may be the very best egg hatchers in all of Eggleston, but that doesn’t mean they don’t get sidetracked. For eggsample, they can find themselves getting caught up in the myriad distractions both whimsical and wonderful that pop up along the way before they get back on track to hatch a new Critter friend and find a reward inside. Eggsellent.

The web animations will eggstend the winning combo of charm and adventure that gives the website its delight. With a triple focus on phonemic awareness, letter recognition and socio-emotional learning appropriate for preschoolers, the series will revolve around rhymes, songs, tongue-twisters and sound and wordplay.
