MIFF. Surprisingly, some people haven’t noticed. Buried in competition in the same film besotted city is the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, which is subsidised by the government and takes off on Friday 10 August and runs until 22 August.

Palace is running the Turkish Film Festival in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra from August 8-19.
