VR – so emotive you may never get out

As VR experts learn to build visceral experiences, they too are going communal, and talking duty of care about their enthralled audiences.

Ingrid Kopp is passionate about virtual reality, seeing immersive storytelling as visceral way of being surrounded by a story and connecting with other people. In a keynote speech for AIDC, Ingrid showed us VR through her well-informed perspective; Ingrid curates the Tribecca Film Festival’s Storyscape program, is co-director of Electric South, an initiative supporting African creators of VR, web and mobile- based content and, with MIT’s Open DocLab, produces Immerse, an on-line publication dedicated to emerging media.
