This past weekend, How To Please a Woman, written and directed by Renee Webster, produced by Tania Chambers and Judi Levine, opened on 294 Australian screens, supported by Madman. It made just under $1 million, of which $501,000 came over the weekend.
The Drover’s Wife, the Outback Western from Leah Purcell, opened three weeks ago with $267,000 off 81 screens and is now up to $663,000 after adding 46 screens to reach 126 and sustaining its take over last weekend. Time will tell if it is a true slow burner.
