The Hong Kong Film Festival kicks off in Auckland on Wednesday with a screening of Ann Hui’s The Way We Are which won the awards for Best Director and Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Critics Awards.

Prior to the screening, there will be a seminar at 6pm at Highwic House in Newmarket, facilitated by the Hong Kong New Zealand Business Association. The seminar will discuss the co-production treaty NZ and Hong Kong which has been in development for 18 months.
