In the past couple of years, broadcasters have been telling producers to give them stories from places other than the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and the seaside suburbs of Sydney; more eucalypt, less asphalt. Alex Sangston from Screen Tasmania chaired a panel of producers sharing their experiences of working outside metro areas; Vicki Madden (The Kettering Incident), Sue Maslin (The Dressmaker), Kev Whyte (Rosehaven) and Fiona McConaghy (Noirhouse).
