A Royal Residence: Glamis Castle (20 September)
Documentary Series. Glamis Castle – the Scottish childhood home of the Queen Mother and beloved playground for her daughter, the future Queen – is one of the oldest royal residences in Britain. Steeped in history, tradition, and myth, this pink painted fairytale fortress has been the family home to one of Britain’s oldest aristocratic families, including Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon who, as the Queen Mother, would become the dominant matriarch of the modern royal family.

Documentary. Stylebender is an intimate look at Israel Adesanya, the Nigerian-born, New Zealand-based MMA champion, which goes beyond the octagon and delves deep into an unlikely fighter’s journey. Princes in the Tower: A Damning Discovery (21 September)

PNG: The Road to Independence (16 September)
Documentary. PNG’s independence 50 years ago came against all odds. Somehow, one of the most culturally diverse lands on earth avoided predictions of chaos. This is the story of the leaders who united tribes speaking 840 different languages and the role of colonial Australia in the birth of a nation, told through the lens of those who took part.
Foreign Correspondent: NOT WELCOME: Northern Ireland’s Race Riots (16 September)
Documentary. Throughout the northern summer, anti-immigration protests have taken place across the United Kingdom. But while angry crowds have scuffled with police outside hotels housing asylum seekers, the most shocking confrontations have occurred in Northern Ireland. It’s the least diverse region of the UK and racial hate crime is at record levels. This week, Foreign Correspondent reporter Barbara Miller travels to the town of Ballymena where some locals are waging a war on migrants, attacking their homes and cars and running them out of town. Mystery Road Origin Season 2 (21 September)
Series. A new posting to the town of Loch Iris but as Jay Swan begins to investigate an unfolding case, Loch Iris closes ranks around him. And the more he pieces together the crime, the more he realises the entire town has been hiding a shadowy past. It’s a past that is still rippling through to the present.
