The Jackbox Party Pack 11 review: a standout collection of party games

The Jackbox Party Pack 11 turns the ship around.
jackbox party pack 11 game review

The Jackbox Party Pack 11 is a very tight collection of mini-games, with zero duds amongst the bunch. After years of so-so Jackbox games with experimental experiences that don’t quite hit, this is a return to form, as well as being one of the most visually-appealing, fun-looking Jackbox titles to date.

Here, you get an array of five new games, all original, although similar to what’s come before. These games are: Doominate, Hear Say, Cookie Haus, Suspectives and Legends of Trivia.

Given they all function as standalone titles, it’s best to tackle each in turn.

Doominate is a comedic blast

Doominate is a funny little game with a compelling, highly replayable premise: you’re taking a core concept that is decidedly lovely, and turning into something terrible – before salvaging it again. For example, if the core concept is a cool new Tron film, what would ruin it?

At PAX Aus 2025, an example play saw two legends both deliver the same answer: ‘But Jared Leto is in it’. It was fairly hard to salvage that one, but creative answers about how Jared Leto might be used in the film twisted the premise back to being delightful.

Doominate is a very solid game in this pack that allows for creative problem solving. At first, you’re just trying to be the funniest player, ruining something – usually with crass humour – but the added layer of needing to then salvage that concept encourages you to think on your toes, and be ready for a swift pivot.

Hearsay is logistically complex, but hilarious

Hear Say is an experimental new game that adds plenty of laughs to The Jackbox Party Pack 11 with its sheer absurdity. In it, you and your friends will record weird sound effects, and they’ll then be played in isolation and over various funny clips, with the funniest being voted the best.

This one is a tough game if you’re playing in-person, because the humour comes from the weird, wonderful effects you’re able to produce, and how surprising they are. It becomes an exercise in either whispering into your mic to hide your sounds from your friends, or scattering to find a quiet corner to record in.

Once you can sort that out, you’ll have an absolute blast in one of the most outrageous, and laugh-out-loud funny experiences in the entire pack.

Cookie Haus is a surprisingly cosy addition to the Jackbox franchise

Cookie Haus was a personal favourite of mine, because it’s essentially its own cosy game. It reminds me a lot of All Around Frippletown or Purble Place, with mechanics that allow you to express your creativity by drawing on cookies. You get a basic prompt from a customer, and a particular shape, and then it’s up to you to fulfil the brief however you like.

Your time is limited, so you’ll need to get creative and speedy, but in any case, you can have an absolute banger of a time trying to come up with cool, fun and funny designs. It’s also very nice when your effort is rewarded, and your cookie is voted number one.

Suspectives is a very neat social deduction game

Suspectives was the game I spent the least time with, if only because it was the most complicated. In this mini-game, a certain crime has been committed, and it’s up to everyone in your crew to figure out who did it, based on clues provided by each player to start the round.

You need to discuss the evidence presented as a group, and everyone will work together to finger the suspect. While this is a more serious game, and asking for player brain power in a party setting is tough, Suspectives‘ visual style and flourish does a lot to keep the vibe light-hearted and compelling, and finding the criminal is a raucous shared experience.

Legends of Trivia is the standout mini-game of the bunch

Of the mini-games included in The Jackbox Party Pack 11, the standout is Legends of Trivia, a new trivia adventure that’s housed within a Dungeons & Dragons-style adventure. You pick from a range of characters, and then set off on a wild quest where damage is dealt by trivia questions, including riddles and multiple choice answers. You’ll die many time as you quest, but each time, you get the chance to continue with the roll of a dice.

This particular mini-games succeeds on the array of questions it entails – they’re mostly around general knowledge and pop culture trivia – and in how bright and peppy the visuals are. Even when you completely whiff on answers, you get to enjoy a fun, cartoonish journey through a fantasy world where ogres, trolls, and crows pop in to complicate your travels.

The Jackbox Party Pack 11 – Overall verdict

Overall, the mix of these five new mini-games makes The Jackbox Party Pack 11 an incredibly strong Jackbox experience. There’s a wonderfully cohesive style in this particular pack, and each mini-game feels well-designed for fun, party-based antics.

It also hits all the activities that make a Jackbox game fun – there’s a drawing game, a trivia game, a funny writing game and more. It’s all in service of a multiplayer party experience that absolutely brims with a bright joy.
