Clara Cheo has been appointed CEO of Golden Village, a joint venture between Hong Kong’s Orange Sky Golden Harvest Entertainment Co Ltd and Village Roadshow Entertainment Group. It operates 11 multiplexes in Singapore with 87 screens.
Cheo succeeds Kurt Rieder as the interim CEO for Golden Village Multiplex Pte. Ltd.
She was the group’s chief financial officer and has worked in the company for more than 17 years. The company said in a statement that Cheo will be spearheading the continued expansion and upgrading of GV cinemas to provide a differentiated and customer-focused movie experience to Singapore’s movie patrons.
