As Sundance heads into its final weekend, there’s been lots of love spread around but little cash. Before the festival opened its doors, pundits were declaring it “a seller’s market”, which demonstrates the dangers of trying to predict the future. A week after Sundance opened it doors, few high-profile sales have been announced.

Craig Johnson’s Skeleton Twins (with Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader) is one of four titles Sony has taken a hand in. Its Sony Pictures Classics division has acquired three titles at Sundance, as well as already being an investor in Gareth Evans’ The Raid 2.
